WHAT WE ATE...
I chose the ‘Croque
Monsieur with Swiss cheese, gruyere, ham and herb bĂ©chamel ($11.00)’. It was
rich and buttery with just the right amount of fillings. An indulgent sandwich
that went perfectly with my latte.
My dining
companion opted for the ‘Mushroom Tart with taleggio cheese, caramelised onion,
garlic, thyme, eggs and cream with salad ($12.00)’. This tart was gorgeous! It
was full of flavour and the accompanying relish and salad were yummy too.
WHAT WE DRANK…
My latte ($3.80) was delicious!
OVERALL…
After a big morning
of stocktake sale shopping in the city, we thought we would try The Salon for
lunch. Situated in the Myer building, The Salon is elegant yet very affordable.
Not only do they have a fabulous range of food options, they have champagne
too! A wonderful place to take a break during your shopping spree…
