WHAT’S ON THE MENU?

·         Arancini – semi-dried tomato and basil arancini with herb pesto ($9.00)

·         Lemon and Pepper Calamari with rocket, parmesan salad, chips, tartare ($22.00)

·         Open-style Lamb Souvlaki with Greek salad, pita bread, tzatziki, chips ($24.00)

WHAT WE ATE...

I decided to have the ‘Seafood and Pea Risotto – chilli, prawns, scallops, calamari, mussels, saffron ($25.00)’. The seafood was all perfectly cooked, nothing rubbery whatsoever. The risotto had a lightness to it, which made it very appetising. There was just the right amount of heat from the chilli. Yummy!

My dining companion chose the ‘Chicken Burger with bacon, smashed avocado, cos lettuce, tomato, gruyere cheese, tomato, aioli, chips ($19.00)’. The chicken fillet was succulent and was complemented by the hearty serving of smashed avocado. A fabulous chicken burger…

OVERALL…

In search of a fabulous drinking hole within walking distance from my house has resulted in some favourites like the very popular Milton Wine Shop. Another favourite of mine is Billy’s Courtyard at my local shops. I have been to their Happy Hour on a Friday (4pm until 8pm) a couple of times but was yet to sample their food. After dining in their restaurant, I was very pleased with the quality of the food and their service was outstanding. One to put on your list…
