WHAT WE ATE...
I decided to
have the ‘Spaghetti Seafood Marinara - prawn, scallops, mussels, calamari and
fish fillets finished in a choice of white or red sauce ($28.50)’. I chose the
white sauce option which was an olive oil and chilli based sauce. The abundance
of divine seafood was perfectly cooked and was enhanced by the garlic and
chilli in the sauce. A wonderful pasta dish.
My other
dining companions enjoyed the following yummy dishes…
‘Fried
Calamari - fresh calamari lightly battered and fried served with chips ($25.50)’…
‘Chilli
Calamari - fresh calamari sealed on the grill and finished on the pan with
Napoli sauce and white wine ($27.50)’…
‘Mussels - fresh mussels steamed with calamari, white wine, capsicum and a salsa sauce ($26.50)’…
‘Stuffed
Eggplant - charcoal grilled eggplant stuffed with feta and mixed vegetables
then baked to perfection ($27.50)’…
OVERALL…
Opposite the
Rivoli cinema is Ambrosia, a fine dining restaurant that offers delightful Mediterranean dishes that are worthy of the gods. A charcoal grill is utelised
with many items on the menu which intensifies the flavour of the ingredients.
Verdant walls, artwork and white table clothes create an elegant but warm
atmosphere. Ambrosia is an ideal venue to enjoy a long Sunday lunch over a
glass of wine…
