WHAT WE ATE...
I opted for
the ‘Beef Lasagne ($13.95)’, which also happened to be gluten-free. Layers of
tender pasta was immersed in the luscious meat sauce. A gorgeous lasagne indeed…
My dining
companion decided to have the ‘Panini – roast beef, sweet mustard pickle,
aioli, avocado, tomato, spinach and tasty cheese ($12.95)’. The beef was so
tender it fell apart in your mouth and was enhanced by the other delicious
fillings.
WHAT WE DRANK…
I ordered
the ‘Homemade spiced chai milk tea ($5.00)’, which was delightful with its
aromatic spice blend. My dining companion’s latte ($4.00) made with Di Bella coffee was robust.
OVERALL…
As part of
my day job, I get to seek out plant ideas at nurseries and one of my favourites is the Acorn Nursery in Surrey Hills. This time after a stroll around the nursery, we succumbed
to the tempting aromas from the café. The Oaks Café has a vast range of both
big and small menu items to cater for all appetites. Pop in next time when you
want to stop and smell the roses…
