The Butlers Pantry, Rowville

WHAT’S ON THE MENU?

·         Canadian Waffle - waffles with bacon and maple syrup ($17.90)

·         Pork Ribs – baby back pork ribs, house made BBQ sauce, sweet potato wedges, and a rocket, apple, red wine vinegar dressing ($27.50)

·         Cannelloni – roasted pumpkin and parmesan cannelloni, Napoli sauce, wilted greens with toasted almonds ($24.00)

·         Chocolate Mousse Cake with meringue, mango sorbet and mascarpone cream ($14.00)

WHAT WE ATE...

I decided to have the ‘French Toast – brioche French toast, poached pears, caramel sauce, macadamia nuts, shaved coconut with mascarpone cream ($18.40)’. This was massive, but fantastic! The slab of eggy brioche was covered in a copious amount of scrumptious toppings. The dish was not overly sweet due to the mascarpone cream.  

My dining companion chose the ‘Da Legit Boss – 2 x 100g beef patties, pickles, onion, lettuce, American cheddar with Butler house mayo ($23.50)’. This instantly reminded me of a Big Mac as the aroma wafted over the table. They have also definitely nailed the Big Mac secret sauce. So if you want a deluxe Big Mac, then this is the burger for you.

WHAT WE DRANK…

Our lattes ($3.80) made with Toby’s Estate Coffee was pretty good.

OVERALL…

We were looking through the new Entertainment Book and found that we could use our gold card at The Butlers Pantry. This eatery stands out boldly as part of a contemporary shopping precinct in Rowville. Upstairs is 432 Yoga Studio where you can mountain pose before heading downstairs for a coffee. The Butlers Pantry is also open for dinner four nights a week…
