WHAT WE ATE...
We both decided
to order our meals from the ‘$12 Menu’. I was drawn to the ‘House Made Beef
Rissoles, buttered peas, mash and onion gravy ($12.00)’. I’m glad I picked this
as it was so warming and delicious! The two substantial rissoles were full of
flavour and were bathed in a delectable pool of gravy. Yum!
My dining
companion chose the ‘Chicken schnitzel burger and chips ($12.00)’. As well as
the schnitzel, the burger contained tomato, bacon, lettuce and mayonnaise and was
accompanied by a decent portion of thick cut chips. Another very filling meal…
OVERALL…
A short time
ago, we went on a train trip to Sunbury. After I had finished appreciating the
pretty gardens at the Sunbury Railway Station, we thought we would have
lunch at the nearby pub. We were warmly welcomed at the Royal Hotel with laughs
and excellent service. At the moment they are celebrating Christmas in July
with two courses of festive fare for $20 or three courses for $23.

P.S. Another pub to try is the MiddlePark Hotel…
