WHAT'S ON THE MENU?

·         Granola Bowl - house baked granola, fresh fruit, natural yoghurt ($13.50)

·         French Toast with housemade lemon curd and mixed berry compote ($12.50)

·         Salt and Pepper Squid with aioli, balsamic glaze and rocket salad ($18.00)

·         Penne - cream and mushies ($10.00) *kid's menu

WHAT WE ATE...

I opted for the 'Chilli Scrambled Eggs - red onion, bacon, and chilli on toast, garnished with grana padano ($16.00)'. It was the best chilli scrambled eggs I have had at a cafe! A good kick of heat from the chilli and the eggs had an amazing flavour from the red onion and salty bacon. Yum!

One of my dining companions chose the 'Smashed Avocado on toast with marinated feta, lime, poached eggs, and soft herbs ($16.50)'. The zingy avocado was vibrant and the eggs were perfectly poached. 

My other dining companion picked the 'Super Roll - egg and bacon with hash brown and hickory smoked BBQ sauce ($9.50)'. A tasty roll which was excellent value. The added hash brown was also a winner. 

WHAT WE DRANK...

We ordered lattes ($3.80) made with Silva Coffee from the Yarra Valley...

Blue Dog is also open for dinner Thursday - Saturday. They also have a great kid's menu and highchairs. The Park Orchards Market is on the 3rd Saturday of the month, just around the corner at the primary school.
