WHAT'S ON THE MENU...

·         Italian Fish Stew - mussels, clams, prawns, prawn meat, fish, calamari, scallops, tomato, chilli ($37.50)

·         Risotto of Moreton Bay bug, lobster bisque, chilli, garlic, white wine ($29.50)

·         Di Palma’s Churros - cinnamon doughnuts, house made vanilla bean ice cream, chocolate sauce ($14.50)

·         Sticky date pudding, butterscotch sauce, house made vanilla bean ice cream ($14.50)

WHAT WE ATE...

I decided to have the ‘Handmade spinach and egg ravioli, mushroom and ricotta, sage noisette sauce, hazelnut pangrattato ($25.50)'. This was my favourite dish from the night! The earthiness of the hazelnut pangrattato matched perfectly with the luxuriant sage sauce.

My dining companion opted for a small ‘Supreme Pizza – tomato, mozzarella, Virginian ham, olives, salami, capsicum, onion, bacon, pineapple, mushroom ($19.50)’. The yummy pizza was of a generous size with a topping of quality ingredients.

We thought we would have a dessert each as it was hard to choose from the enticing dessert menu… I chose the ‘Frangelico scented Tira Mi Su ($13.50)’. There is nothing better than ending an Italian feast with a delicious tiramisu…

My dining companion selected a dessert from the Specials: ‘Wild berry and almond tart, berry cream, raspberry coulis ($13.50)’. This was another lovely dish. 

WHAT WE DRANK...

I ordered a glass of the ‘NV Pierre De Ville Brut from the Loire Valley, France ($9.00)’ which was fabulous.  

OVERALL…

Di Palma’s is a fantastic place to enjoy some quality Italian fare in a sophisticated but relaxed setting. The elegant interior provides excellent acoustics that allows you to have engaging conversations with your dining companions. However, what really sets Di Palma’s a part from other restaurants is its exceptional service.
