We started
with the ‘Crispy house made bread - lightly brushed with olive oil, served with
a trio of dips (garlic aioli, olive tapenade, basil pesto) ($10.00)’. The soft house
made bread was an excellent vessel for the dips. Our favourite dip out of the
three was the olive tapenade which had a lovely earthiness to it and wasn’t
overpowering.
Augello’s is
over the road from the Balwyn Cinemas so it is perfect for a movie date. You can
have dinner and a glass of wine and then pop over to see a movie afterwards. Augello’s
is located at the bottom of a new apartment block and has a sleek interior
design. The waitress that served us on the night was fabulous!
