WHAT’S ON THE MENU?

·         Fish Tacos - soft tortillas filled with chargrilled corn, tomato and avocado salsa, topped with crisp, battered fish goujons ($22.00)

·         Satay Chicken - pan fried chicken tenderloins coated with a mild satay sauce and served with steamed rice and Asian greens ($24.50)

·         Bangers and Mash - pork sausages grilled and served on mash, with peas and onion gravy ($19.00)

·         Atlantic Salmon - served with sweet potato chips, salad and drizzled with hollandaise sauce ($26.00)

WHAT WE ATE...

We were dining at the Rosebud R.S.L. for dinner on a Wednesday night so we took advantage of their ‘Pizza and Pasta for $15 Night’.

I decided to have the ‘Carbonara - sautéed onion, bacon and garlic in a creamy white wine sauce, finished with parmesan’. I chose to have this with the fettuccini option. This was a heavenly pasta dish with perfect balance.  

My dining companion opted for the ‘Bolognese - freshly ground beef mince in a rich Italian tomato sauce’. She went with the penne option. The pasta had a rich and luscious sauce that was fabulous!

We also added a serve of Garlic Bread for $2...

WHAT WE DRANK...

My dining companion ordered a ‘Rothbury Estate Chardonnay ($5.70)’...

OVERALL…

Food = 3 spoonfuls of sugar

Drinks = 3 spoonfuls of sugar

Service = 3 spoonfuls of sugar
