WHAT’S ON THE MENU?
· Smoked Salmon on potato rosti, marinated goats cheese, tomato salsa and rocket ($19.00)
· Homemade Gnocchi with a fresh sauce of the day ($16.50)
· Spicy Spanish Eggs – white and black beans with grilled chorizo, fried potato, Spanish paprika, garlic, a hint of chilli, two poached eggs drizzled with chilli oil and toast on the side ($18.00)
· Bircher Muesli topped with fresh yoghurt, rhubarb, berry compote, seasonal fruit, toasted almonds and a hint of mint ($13.50)
WHAT WE ATE...
I decided to have the ‘Pancakes with berry compote and ice-cream ($12.50)’. The trio of petite pancakes where very fluffy and worked well with the berry compote and the ice-cream. The sprigs of mint and dusting of icing sugar added visual appeal.
My Nan chose the ‘Chicken Wrap with chicken, fresh salad, and Weatherson mayonnaise ($7.50)’ and my Pop went with the ‘Ham Wrap with chicken, fresh salad, mustard, and Weatherson mayonnaise ($7.50)’. Both the wraps were very big and fresh but were a little bit bland and could do with some extra seasoning and less grated carrot. The mayonnaise was hard to find so adding some more would improve the flavour of the wraps.
WHAT WE DRANK...
My latte ($3.50) made with Genovese Coffee was alright. It’s not my favourite coffee in Maling Road but my grandparents loved their coffee so it was a split opinion on this one.
The best part about Weatherson’s is the service. If you are having a rough day or just in need of some company, then this is the place to brighten your day.
