WHAT WE ATE...
The menu at
Seven Seeds is inventive with many interesting dishes available. I opted for
the ‘Coconut Crusted Crumpet French Toast - grilled pineapple, basil seeds,
rice pudding, goji and quinoa crumbs, chocolate soil ($18.00)’. This also
happens to be vegan… I found this dish to be absolutely gorgeous! It was quite
a savoury meal with the only sweetness coming from the pineapple. Exactly the
way I like it… Everything was balanced and merged together to create a
scrumptious lunch.
My dining
companion picked the ‘Double Wagyu Patty Burger - cheddar, Seven Seeds special
sauce, brioche bun, fries ($18.00)’. The burger was great with quality
ingredients. However, it lacked any novel ingredients to make it shine brighter
than other Melbourne burgers.
WHAT WE DRANK…
Our lattes
($4.30) made with Seven Seeds coffee were amazing! It was the best coffee I have
enjoyed for ages with its velvety milk…
OVERALL…
My boyfriend
pops over to Seven Seeds for a coffee when at Melbourne Uni and he suggested that we
try the lunch menu. We wandered down an alleyway to the rear entrance of Seven
Seeds. Inside was a large, industrial space where you sit upon metal stools at
high-rise tables. Service was efficient and matched the brilliant food.
