WHAT WE ATE...
I chose the ‘Roasted
Veggie Toasty – pumpkin, mushroom, semi-dried tomato, spinach, basil pesto with
feta ($14.00)’. There was no way I would be left hungry after eating this ginormous
but delightful vegetarian roll. The pesto added punch to the luscious
vegetables, whilst the fresh spinach added lightness.
My dining
companion decided to have the ‘Breaky Bun – bacon, avocado, cheese, lettuce and
house-made garlic aioli in a warm brioche sesame seed bun ($12.50)’ and added a
fried egg for $2.50. The bun contained a generous serving of yummy ingredients which were complemented with lashings of the gorgeous aioli.
WHAT WE DRANK…
My 'Latte
($3.70)' was delightful and I loved the green saucer...
OVERALL…
Some of my
clients have told me, ‘You must try The Foodrinkery. You’ll love it!’. Well, off
I went… There is a fabulous rear courtyard to enjoy but we sat inside as it was
raining when we visited. The Foodrinkery only uses free-range eggs and organic bread and many gluten-free dishes are on offer. I spied some very tempting cakes when I was leaving so
will have to pop in for afternoon tea next time…
