WHAT WE ATE...
I opted for
the ‘Chilli Scrambled – scrambled eggs, chilli, coriander, fried shallots,
toasted sourdough ($14.00)’. I also added a side of mushrooms ($3.00). When I
order chilli scrambled eggs, I expect the heat to break me out in a sweat,
otherwise why bother? This certainly did, which was fantastic! The scrambled
eggs were more like a broken-up omelette in keeping with the Asian theme which
I found enticing. The charred mushrooms added an interesting dimension to the
dish.
My dining
companion chose the ‘Atlantic Salmon – grilled crispy skin salmon, kipfler
potatoes, lemon, citrus salad ($28.00)’. The salmon was cooked perfectly and
the citrus segments cut back the richness of the salmon. Delicious!
WHAT WE DRANK…
My latte ($3.80)
was heavenly…
OVERALL…
An eatery at
Chadstone that looks like the Garden of Eden is naturally going to seduce me…
Mezz boasts a botanical theme that includes hanging greenery and even a welcoming
shovel! If plants aren’t your thing, then maybe the swinging cane chairs will
win you over. Executive Chef, David Murphy, has created an attractive menu with
both small and large meals. Mezz was the perfect oasis for us after a busy day
shopping…
