Little Thai Princess, Glen Iris

·         Prawn Spring Rolls – Thai-style seasoned prawn in a light pastry, served with a sweet chilli sauce x 4 ($12.00)
·         Green Lake Chicken - a green curry of crisp, well-seasoned chicken in coconut, wild ginger and fresh Thai basil ($24.00) *gluten-free
·         Crying Tiger Beef Salad - grilled medallions of rump beef with mint, red onion, tomatoes, cucumber, cherry tomatoes, lemon juice and spicy dressing ($23.00) *gluten-free
·         Salt and Pepper Tofu - our fabulous fried silken tofu, served with ginger, snow peas and Chinese broccoli ($20.00)

I chose a dish from the Chef’s Recommendations menu: ‘Crispy Seafood Curry - a Chuchi Thai curry of delicious seasoning, crispy prawns, calamari, wild ginger, and mixed vegetables ($28.00)’. The curry was absolutely delightful with crunchy but tender calamari and a gorgeous sauce. The curries at Little Thai Princess are some of the best tasting I have tried in Melbourne.

My dining companion picked the ‘Massaman Beef Curry - an authentic Southern Thai aromatic curry, served with a coconut based curry, potatoes and peanuts ($27.00)’. This was another brilliant curry with the beef melting in your mouth. The curry also had a wonderful flavour.

We also ordered some Garlic Roti Bread ($5.80) and Jasmine Rice ($3.00 per person) …

We brought a bottle of wine with us. The corkage was $4 per person.

For our one year anniversary, we celebrated at a local restaurant that is within walking distance to our home. Little Thai Princess has been featured in the Good Food Guide and specialises in Modern-Exotic Thai cuisine. The interior features dark wood tables, plush seating and gold accents. A fabulous restaurant to go to when you are seeking some lavish Thai fare.
