Mister Fox
Does your partner love a round of golf on the weekend?
Well, you could subtly suggest the Ringwood Golf Club because then you can
enjoy a leisurely lunch at Mister Fox. Of course, if you both love golf then
why not rehydrate yourselves afterwards with a beer or wine from their
excellent drinks list. Mister Fox not only has spectacular views over the
verdant golf course but a fantastic menu using local ingredients that is also extremely
good value. It can be quite busy on the weekend though so I would definitely
book a table. Also, if you are looking for a venue for your next function, they
have some great event packages.
WHAT’S ON THE
MENU?

A Fox Down Wind – bowl of Mr Fox baked beans,
sausage, toasted Dench sourdough, poached egg ($15.00)
·
Farro porridge, vanilla chai, fruit compote
($10.00)
·
Pulled pork sourdough sandwich, chipotle mayo,
lime slaw ($10.00)
·
Honey roasted pumpkin ciabatta, parmesan,
spinach, sticky parmesan ($8.00)
WHAT WE ATE...
I decided to have the ‘Roast beef focaccia, melted
cheddar, spinach, seeded mustard ($10.00)’. The focaccia contained a generous
amount of quality ingredients and the oozing cheese amalgamated the contents
superbly.

My dining companion chose the ‘Ham, cheese, spinach and egg breakfast pie with chilli jam ($13.00)’. This was also a delicious dish and the spicy relish enhanced the flavours of the pie.

WHAT WE DRANK...
Some great craft beers are on the menu with the Yarra
Valley featuring heavily on their wine list. I felt like being a piggy on this
occasion so I picked the Iced chocolate ($4.50). This was a perfectly made iced
chocolate. The right amount of chocolate and ice-cream and the essential cream
on top.
My dining companion grabbed a latte ($3.50) made with
Genovese coffee. This was also very nice.
