La Q, Kew
Jazz legends grace the walls of La Q, setting the scene for an intimate, candle-lit night of Italian feasting. Loyal and new patrons are warmly welcomed to this Italian restaurant in the heart of Kew, where the menu showcases the best of the Umbrian region. Also, don’t forget to leave room for dessert, as they are beautifully presented and scrumptious!
WHAT'S ON THE MENU…
· Cotto Pizza – Napoli, mozzarella, prosciutto, fresh tomato, basil and chilli oil ($19.00)
· Spaghetti Prawns with garlic, parsley, sun-dried tomatoes, sweet chilli sauce and Napoli ($19.00)

WHAT WE ATE...
I chose a
dish from the pasta menu: ‘Pasta Pockets filled with pumpkin, pine nuts and
ricotta in a bacon and Napoli sauce ($17.50)’. The pasta had a gorgeous, rich
sauce that smothered the tender pockets of pasta.
My dining
companion picked the ‘Risotto del Bosco – semi-dried tomato, spring onions,
spinach and mushrooms ($15.00)’. This risotto also happens to be gluten-free. The
combination of ingredients complemented each other in this splendid version of
a risotto.
For dessert,
we shared the ‘Tiramisu ($9.00)’ which is made in-house. The gigantic wedge of
luscious tiramisu was the perfect way to end the night.
WHAT WE DRANK...
We both decided
to have a glass of the Italian ‘2013 Breganze Savardo Pinot Grigio ($7.50)’…
