Giorgios, Armadale



WHAT’S ON THE MENU?
·         Beetroot, Quinoa and Walnut Salad – roasted beetroot, puffed quinoa, kale, walnuts and feta with pomegranate dressing ($18.90)
·         Spanner Crab Linguine - crab meat sautéed with garlic, chilli, shallots, olive oil, cherry tomatoes and a touch of Napoli topped with rocket leaves ($31.90)
·         Seafood Risotto - arborio rice combined with tiger prawns, local mussels, scallops, calamari and Moreton Bay bug, flamed in olive oil, garlic, fish stock, parsley, white wine and a touch of Napoli ($36.90)
·         Lime Crème Brûlée - French creamy custard dessert topped with caramelised sugar, served with peanut butter ice cream ($12.90)



WHAT WE ATE...
I chose the delightful ‘Agnolotti - giant pasta pillows, filled with pumpkin and ricotta cheese, in burnt butter sauce, roasted pine nuts, sage, topped with shaved grana Reggiano ($25.90)’.


My dining companion opted for the gorgeous ‘Eye Fillet - 250g grain fed Angus served with potato and pumpkin gratin, Dutch carrots, green beans and red wine jus ($36.90)’.


For dessert, we shared the gigantic ‘Tiramisu - layers of coffee liqueur soaked savoiardi biscuits with mascarpone cheese and mocha cream ($11.90)’.


WHAT WE DRANK…
We ordered some cocktails. I picked the ‘Lychee Cooler - muddled fresh strawberry & lychee on ice topped with Absolut vodka, lychee liqueur, sparkling cuvee ($16.90)’. My dining companion went with the ‘Blonde Sangria - Peach Schnapps, apple juice and fresh mint with orange and lemon slices on ice, topped with pink Moscato ($15.90)’



OVERALL…

Food = 3 spoonfuls of sugar
