WHAT WE ATE...
I opted for
the ‘Old-fashioned Beef Lasagne with fresh garden salad ($15.90)’. This lasagne
was one of the best café versions I have eaten. The layers of meat sauce were
flavoursome, whilst the thick layer of béchamel added the right amount of
creaminess. I also adored the crunchy addition of pepitas and sunflower seeds
to the salad.
My dining
companion chose the ‘Jamaican Corn Fritters stacked on avocado slices and
toasted artisan bread, homemade tomato relish on the side ($16.90)’. The fritters
are gluten free and gluten free bread is also available. The yummy fritters
were balanced with the velvety avocado and the saltiness of the bacon. The
tomato relish complemented the stack of fritters.
WHAT WE DRANK…
My ‘Latte ($3.80)’
tasted absolutely delicious…
OVERALL…
I don’t like
cricket, oh no… but I do love the Round About CafĂ©! Perched on the hill above
the Warrandyte roundabout, the colourful interior is warm and cosy with lots of
cushions on chairs and eclectic artwork featured on the walls. This eatery has
a menu with a Jamaican twist that will have you booking your own Dreadlock
Holiday…
