We decided
to share a pizza. The menu has an extensive pizza list but eventually we agreed
to the ‘Di Caprio – crushed tomato, mozzarella, spinach, roasted beetroot,
pumpkin, feta, pine nuts and basil pesto. Topped with fresh mint leaves and
flat leaf parsley ($18.00)’. The pizza looked appetising but for some reason
had no flavour. The cubes of bland pumpkin were raw so we picked those off. The
pesto had no taste either. It was a great idea but the inclusion of quality
produce would really help.
I ordered a
Coopers Pale Ale ($5.50)…
The cafes in
Glen Waverley are limited so we were struggling to find a possible lunch venue
when we were in the area. We ventured inside Century City Walk to discover
Airstream Café which has a retro design. The inside
stretches right back to create an immense dining room. We chose to sit outside which
was pleasant with a cold beer…
