WHAT WE ATE...
I chose the ‘Reuben
Sandwich on Rye – shaved pastrami, sauerkraut, pickles, mustard, swiss cheese
and Russian dressing ($17.00)’. I was very impressed with this version of a
Reuben, with the spicy, thick-cut pastrami and the lusciousness from the Russian
dressing and melted cheese. The bread was perfectly toasted so that it was
golden but also munchable. The bucket of chips was an added bonus.
My dining
companion opted for the ‘Boston Baked Beans and Eggs – butter beans slowly
baked with bacon, molasses, onion and house spiced blend with toasted bread and
fried egg ($15.00)’. The beans had a wonderful sweet flavour with a touch of
smokiness that complemented the fried eggs.
WHAT WE DRANK…
Our lattes ($3.80)
were very nice…
