WHAT WE ATE...
It was
difficult to decide which pizza to order, but in the end we decided to share the
‘Ortolana – pesto sauce, fior di latte, chargrilled eggplant, chargrilled zucchini,
roast peppers and garlic ($22.00)’. This pizza was brilliant! It had just the
right amount of cheese and toppings. The pesto sauce enhanced the flavour of
the wood-fired pizza, whilst the base was the perfect thickness.
We both love cherries so for dessert we shared the ‘Calzoncino bianco e amarena – filled with
black cherry and white Belgian chocolate and dusted with icing sugar ($13.00)’.
A rich river of white chocolate escaped when we sliced into the dessert. The tart
cherries cut back the richness of the white chocolate. An indulgent way to end
the night…
WHAT WE DRANK…
I ordered
the ‘Block 88 Sauvignon Blanc ($8.00)’ whilst my dining companion chose the ‘Fermoy
Estate FE Shiraz ($8.00)’…
OVERALL…
Longing for
a trip to Naples for a slice of pizza? Instead, you can drive over to Kew to
Circa 900 for some authentic pizza just like they have in Naples. Their pizzas
are made with traditional Neapolitan methods and are absolutely delicious! The
service was fabulous and I would recommend adding Circa 900 to your list of
pizza places to try...
