WHAT WE ATE...
I opted for
the ‘Poppyseed and Ricotta Hot Cakes – double cream, pistachio crumb, berry
compote with an orange, mint, and rosewater syrup ($17.50)’. This dish was just too
pretty to eat but of course I did… The hotcake was fluffy and the combination
of toppings with the exotic syrup tasted divine.
My dining
companion chose the ‘Menemen – scrambled eggs with roasted capsicum, tomato,
onion, garlic, chilli, roast chat potatoes and Turkish bread ($16.50)’. I had a
taste of this dish and it was wonderful. I am definitely ordering this next time… The dish was packed with flavour and those crispy potatoes… Wow!
WHAT WE DRANK…
My latte
($4.00) made with Veneziano Coffee was fabulous.
OVERALL…
I was
driving through Ringwood East when I noticed a busy, new café! Later that week,
we checked it out. We were warmly greeted by staff who ensured that we had a
delightful dining experience. The interior had a chic, industrial feel which was
softened by flowers and greenery. The menu was exciting with lots of dishes
that you would not ordinarily see on your local cafĂ©’s menu. The Younger
Brother is a brilliant addition to the area.
