Tivoli Road Bakery, South Yarra

As I walk
along Toorak Road on my way to work, I find it impossible to resist popping into
the Tivoli Road Bakery for a sweet treat. The theory is that I am buying a
pastry for my lunch but the reality is that it has usually been demolished long
before noon. I usually say to myself ‘I will just have one little bite...’ This
of course is total wishful thinking on my part as Tivoli Road Bakery items are
so incredibly scrumptious that there is no way that anyone could stop at just one
bite. Below are some of my favourites thus far...

WHAT I ATE...
The Strawberry
and Pistachio Danish ($4.50). I love my Danishes and this is one of the best I
have had in Melbourne. This is also probably my favourite item I have tried
from the Tivoli Road Bakery. The pastry is flaky and the custard is gorgeous.

The Apricot
and Almond Danish ($4.50). The plump apricots and flaked almonds are a
tantalising combination.

The Lemon Curd Doughnut ($4.00). I adore lemon curd desserts so I had to try this one. These bad boys are absolutely jam-packed with the heavenly lemon curd. I need to sample the Salted Caramel Doughnuts next time...
