Café Via Biscotti, Surrey Hills
WHAT’S ON THE MENU?
·

sliced banana ($14.95)
·
Mushroom
and Cheese Omelette – served with toast ($14.95)
·
Warm
Chicken Salad – mixed garden salad with grilled chicken, drizzled with an oil
and balsamic vinaigrette ($15.90) *gluten-free
·
Salmon
Penne – smoked salmon pieces tossed with spinach and capers in a cream and
white wine sauce with parmesan cheese ($18.90)
WHAT WE ATE...
I opted for
the ‘B.L.A.T. Wrap – bacon, lettuce, avocado and tomato wrapped up and served
with French fries ($14.90)’. The fries were plentiful and the wrap tasted okay.
However, the wrap was wet and slimy.
My dining
companion decided to have the ‘Smoked Salmon Focaccia – smoked salmon, tomato,
lettuce, capers and mayo on a large herb focaccia served with French fries
($14.90)’. There was a generous serve of the smoked salmon but cream cheese
would be a superior alternative to the mayonnaise. Again, the fries were the highlight.
WHAT WE DRANK...
I ordered an
‘English Breakfast Tea ($4.40)’ made with T2 Tea. All hot drinks come with a
yummy biscuit.
My dining
companion ordered a latte ($3.80).
OVERALL…
