WHAT WE ATE...
I chose ‘The
Rue-Ben – pulled corn beef with sauerkraut, dill pickle, Swiss cheese and
horseradish aioli on rye sourdough ($14.50)’. This is the kind of sandwich that
I love… it makes a big mess but tastes delicious. The beef was so tender and
the delightful juices from the filling dripped down my arms as I took each
bite. The sandwich was accompanied by a lovely potato salad enhanced with
capers and dill.
My dining
companion picked the ‘Wagyu Beef Burger with Swiss cheese, pickle, homemade
chutney, aioli and lettuce leaves on a brioche bun and served with rosemary and
sea salt fries ($18.00)’. The burger had a wonderful balance of ingredients which
created a brilliant flavour combination. The crunchy chips were amazing!
WHAT WE DRANK...
My latte
($3.80) was very nice.
