Saychol Thai, Kew East

WHAT'S ON THE MENU…
·         Tom Yum Goong – spicy prawn soup ($11.00)
·         Pla Phad Khing – rockling and ginger stir-fry ($25.00)
·         Larb Ped Yang – roasted duck salad ($25.00)
·         Mango Panna Cotta ($9.00)

WHAT WE ATE...
For our entrĂ©e, we were recommended the ‘Miang Hoy – gently pan-seared scallops served on fresh betel leaves with ginger, red onion, lime, lemongrass, chilli and cashew nuts, dressed with signature sauce of tamarind, roasted coconut and dried shrimp ($12.00 x 2)’. The plump scallops were bathed in a zingy dressing that left you wanting more. Absolutely divine!

We then chose a curry to share… The ‘Gaeng Dang Goong– rich Thai curry of prawns, sweet potato, pumpkin, bamboo shoot and Thai herbs ($24.00)’ was perfect for those who like to spice up their lives. The delightfully fragrant curry contained a bounty of prawns and vegetables that warmed up the evening.

To accompany our curry, we ordered some Roti ($4.00) and Jasmine Rice ($3.00). The roti was fabulous as it was light and flaky.

WHAT WE DRANK...
I decided to have a glass of ‘T’Gallant Pinot Grigio ($9.00)’…
