WHAT WE ATE...
I chose the
‘Buttermilk Pancakes with orange curd, rhubarb mascarpone, blueberries, organic
maple syrup served with roasted pecans ($17.50)’. I loved this flavour
combination but it would have been better if the orange curd was thick.
Nevertheless, the pancakes were scrumptious!
My dining
companion picked the ‘Angus Beef Burger – grilled lean beef, cheddar, bacon,
tomato, rocket, caramelised onion, aioli and relish in a brioche bun served
with chips ($16.50)’. The burger was gigantic and was a bit tricky to eat but
tasted delicious.
WHAT WE DRANK…
Our 'Lattes
($3.80)' using their own Vault coffee blend had toffee sweetness and green apple
acidity.
OVERALL…
We headed
west for some music at the Way Out West Roots Music Club with my lovely uncle
and aunt in Williamstown. On the way, we stopped by Yarraville for lunch and
thought we would try Vault Café Bar Restaurant. Inside the beautiful building, the
atmosphere was lively with cool background music and people chatting. The service
was excellent and our glasses of water were constantly topped up.
