WHAT WE ATE...
The menu at
Tonto was quite limited but I decided to have the ‘Mini brioche sliders with
pulled beef and slaw x 3 ($18.00)’. The sliders were very yummy but a little on
the small side for $18. The beef was nice and tender and the slaw had a good
crunch.
My dining
companion chose the ‘Potato rosti with scrambled eggs and feta on tomato relish
($16.00)’. Most elements of the dish were lovely but the scrambled egg let it
down because it was a bit leathery and bland.
WHAT WE DRANK…
My latte ($4.00)
made with Axil Coffee was delightful.
OVERALL…
I was
driving to work and was excited to see that a new café in Canterbury had appeared.
The striking mural on the exterior wall draws your eye… The staff were very
friendly and the interior was bright and welcoming. Hopefully they expand their
menu once they have been in operation for a while.
