Satay Inn, Kew

WHAT'S ON THE MENU…
·         Chicken Satay Skewer x 4 ($8.00)
·         Malaysian Fish Curry ($19.80)
·         Beef Rendang ($16.80)
·         Nasi Goreng ($12.80)

WHAT WE ATE...
I thought I would try one of Satay Inn’s vegetarian dishes. T.P. suggested the ‘Gado Gado – an assortment of vegetables dressed in our satay peanut sauce ($12.80)’. The potatoes were perfectly cooked and the rich satay sauce was complemented by the fresh pineapple.

My dining companion decided to have the ‘Beef Curry with Roti ($12.80)’. This curry had a lovely earthy flavour and consisted of pieces of beef that melted in your mouth. The roti that accompanied the curry was flaky and delicious.

We also ordered some ‘Coconut Rice ($3.50)’ to go with our mains.

We though we would share a dessert. The ‘Bubur Cha Cha ($7.50) – taro, sweet potato and sago in coconut milk and palm sugar’ was luscious and the sweet potato added colour and sweetness.

WHAT WE DRANK...
We both enjoyed some Chinese Tea ($2.00 per person) to go with our Malaysian dinner…

  1. I live really close to here but only noticed this place for the first time a couple of months ago when driving past - I remember the sign out the front saying something like "Kew is beautiful, like our satay". I've been meaning to go back and check it out, see if they offer much veg food. Thanks for the review :)
