WHAT’S ON THE MENU?

·         Potato Hash – field mushrooms, bean purée, bacon, poached eggs and truffle oil ($17.50)

·         Miss Veggie Pizza – pumpkin, eggplant, mushroom, capsicum, mozzarella cheese ($16.90)

·         Soft Shell Crab Burger – served with pear slaw, chilli mayonnaise and chunky chips with homemade aioli ($18.50)

·         The Schnitz – panko crumbed free range chicken breast served with cabbage slaw and bean purée

WHAT WE ATE...

The menu had a fantastic variety of items that should please everybody. I chose the ‘Pancakes - buttermilk pancakes served with vanilla mascarpone, berry compote, fresh strawberries and drizzled with maple syrup ($16.50)’. I loved that I could eat this whole meal without feeling sickly as the portion was the perfect size. The pancakes were light and fluffy and the topping consisted of quality berries.  

My dining companion ordered the ‘Fritters – zucchini and corn fritters served with avocado salsa, bacon and herb salad ($16.50)’. The fritter stack looked pretty with a scattering of flowers. The fritters were full of flavour and there was a generous helping of the avocado salsa.

WHAT WE DRANK...

My latte ($3.80) was lovely.

OVERALL…

I was driving down Whitehorse Road when I noticed this new café! The stylish interior is vast with bare brick walls and gorgeous flower arrangements. There is also a rear courtyard as well as outdoor seating at the front of the café. The service was very good considering the café had just recently opened.
