Weekend Away - Ballarat Part 4
Unfortunately my cousin, Shannon
Smiley, missed out on being included in the Wynne Prize this year but you can
hear him talk about the Australian suburban environment for places of
enchantment and his Wynne Prize submission Backway, Heidelberg
this Sunday at the Mornington Peninsula Regional Gallery.
On the way back home we stopped by
Daylesford to pick up some mineral water to take home. My favourite flavoured spring
is the Wombat Flat Spring which is right next to the Lake House. I always stock
up on some water here when I am in Daylesford.
We gathered our water bottles and
trekked back to the car. On the way, we spotted these little guys...
Even though we were still full from
such a big breakfast, we grabbed a bite to eat in the afternoon in Trentham.
Everyone was heading towards the RedBeard Historic Bakery so we thought
we should give it a go... It was late so a lot of things had sold out so we
both chose the Sourdough Pizza ($8.00). The pizza was okay but the toppings
were a little desiccated...

Some lattes ($3.80) provided some
energy...
