WHAT’S ON THE MENU?

· Smashed Pumpkin - spiced pumpkin mashed, dukkah, feta, mixed seeds and nuts, cherry tomato, poached egg on toast ($15.50)

· Double Cheese Chilli Scrambled Egg - parmesan and cheddar, smoked belly bacon, chilli mayo, toasted sweet corn on a black brioche ($19.50)

· Truffle Duck Egg - black truffle, fried duck egg, grilled chorizo, prosciutto, roasted tomato, feta with sesame bagel ($21.50)

· Mex Chicken Burger - grilled chicken thigh, green mash, jalapeño mayo on a black brioche with thick cut chips ($17.50)

WHAT WE ATE...
I picked the 'Mojo Hotcake - macerated raspberries, strawberry gel, passionfruit curd, fresh and freeze dried fruit, maple whipped cream and buttermilk pancakes ($19.50)'. The stack of three pancakes were light and fluffy. The tartness of the passionfruit curd balanced out the sweetness of the maple whipped cream. The freeze dried apricots and berries were a clever twist to regular cafe pancake toppings.

My dining companion chose the 'Eggs Benny with salmon - cured salmon, kale chips, sautéed spinach, yuzu hollandaise, poached eggs on English muffins ($17.50)'. The yuzu hollaindaise really enhanced the dish with its zesty punch, complementing the rich cured salmon. Another fabulous dish!
