WHAT WE ATE...
The menu
consists of breakfast items, burgers and salads but they also have some smaller
items in their glass cabinet. I decided to have the ‘Salt and Pepper Calamari
with rocket, fennel, orange and basil aioli ($16.00)’. If you have found
calamari rubbery in the past, then I strongly suggest that you visit Lily Loves
George and order this dish. The calamari was so tender and moreish! The salad
element was refreshing and the aioli tasted fabulous too. A wonderful dish that
I hope to have again.

My dining
companion opted for the ‘Dukkah Eggs – two poached eggs on toast with smashed
avocado, mint, fetta, lemon and dukkah spices ($16.00)’. The crusty bread and
the luscious avocado blend complimented the perfectly cooked eggs. The dukkah
provided just enough spice without overwhelming the dish.

WHAT WE DRANK...
If you are
feeling like a bit of decadence, you can have a salted caramel or a white
chocolate milkshake ($6.00) or perhaps a ‘Hot and Cold hot chocolate with
ice-cream and cream ($5.50)’. My latte ($3.50) made with Toby’s Estate’s Woolloomooloo
Blend was superb with notes of chocolate and caramel.
