Cheeky Latte Cafe
A muffin is rarely described as lavish. Boring is usually
the term that comes to my mind... Muffins are always best on the day that they
are made. The next day their delightful crunchy top has disappeared as they
become sweaty and moist. This is why I tend to avoid them at cafés unless I can
see that they truly are made that day. Anyway, one of my lovely readers
suggested that I try Cheeky Latte Café so we stopped by for morning tea. We
felt like a sweet snack to share with our coffees. I noticed that the muffin flavour
of the day was orange curd and poppy seed. That certainly did sound lavish. The
muffins also looked fresh so I went ahead and ordered one.
The large, heavenly muffin ($3.00) had a luscious heart
of creamy orange curd. The top was crispy and covered in poppy seeds. Yes, this
muffin could definitely be described as lavish. I wish I had ordered another one...

Our beautifully made lattes ($3.40) were divine and so
big! The staff were very cheery and went out of their way to make their
customers experience enjoyable.

I gazed at the extensive menu whilst enjoying my morning
tea. The menu was very reasonably priced with many enticing dishes under $10. I
will definitely be back to try the ‘Cheeky Mushrooms: Portobello mushrooms,
caramelised onions and parmesan on Turkish bread ($10.50)’ from their breakfast
menu...

I live within walking distance of this cafe but have never visited it, how bad is that. We have talked about going to their monthly tapa nights but never got around to that either.
ReplyDeleteYes, the tapas night sounds great :)
