WHAT’S ON THE MENU?

· Buttermilk Pancakes - topped with caramelised banana and crushed walnuts ($15.00)

· Breakfast Burrito – scrambled eggs, bacon, tomato and homemade guacamole, wrapped in a warm tortilla ($13.00)

· Spanakopita – traditional Greek spinach and feta pie ($10.00)

· Keftes Meatballs – oven baked beef rissoles in a homemade napoli sauce, served with rice ($15.00)

WHAT WE ATE...

Ambrosia – Food for Gods, has a Mediterranean style menu and is situated along the lovely Britannia Mall. I decided to have the ‘French Toast - homemade brioche topped with strawberries and a side of maple syrup ($15.00)’. Whilst this dish looked tempting, on slicing through the French Toast, it was completely raw! The uncooked egg mixture cascaded out of the toast... Not the best dish to serve an obviously pregnant lady or indeed anyone...

My dining companion picked the ‘Smashed Avocado – smashed avocado and feta cheese on your choice of toasted bread ($12.00)’. He didn’t get a choice of bread and instead the dish was served on a miniature, desiccated English muffin. Another fail...
