WHAT'S ON THE MENU?

·         Buttermilk pancakes with lemon curd, pistachio meringues and citrus mascarpone ($17.50)

·         Sticky pork belly served with a spring onion pancake, and a herb and crackling salad ($19.50)

·         Eggs Benedict, with Montrose smoked ham hock, poached eggs and hollandaise sauce on sourdough ($16.50)

·         Crisp fried mushroom hash, confit king oyster mushrooms and fresh herbs, topped with a poached egg ($16.50)

WHAT WE ATE...

I opted for the 'Avocado smashed with fresh peas, lemon, chimichurri and feta, served on multigrain ($17.50)'. An absolutely delightful reincarnation of smashed avocado! The peas burst with sweetness and the chimichurri added zing. 

My dining companion picked the 'Shakshuka pot, baked eggs with beans, eggplant, chilli and tomato, topped with yoghurt ($16.50)'. Unfortunately, the eggs were very rubbery and the flavour of the tomato base was lacking.
