Garden DesignFest 2016, By Botanic Revival

Last weekend, the Botanic Revival team visited some of the gardens featured in Garden DesignFest 2016 on behalf of Kew For You. Stunning Melbourne and Mornington Peninsula gardens were exhibited to the public that were created by some of Victoria’s top garden designers.

Diane Beddison’s garden

One of my favourite gardens was Betsy-Sue Clarke’s garden in Kew. This modern garden combined art and vegetation to create an urban oasis.

The garden featured a magnificent vertical garden spanning four metres high which looked onto a courtyard containing a pizza oven and a striking Indian Bean Tree sculpture.

A north facing kitchen garden made use of the sunshine whilst the chicken coup blended in with the rear garden foliage. Tropical plants surrounded the inviting swimming pool making it the perfect place to relax on a summer’s day.

Other gardens we visited in the Boroondara area were:
· The Eckersley Garden Architecture garden in Canterbury
· Diane Beddison’s garden in Canterbury
· Andrew Renn’s garden in Hawthorn East
